The first two major outputs from the UWISCA project are now available! Our Literature Review Report draws together over 400 sources of key research literature on the role of inner dimensions in climate communications and engagement under five key headings:
  1. The challenge of communicating climate change.
  2. Climate communication in the Irish context.
  3. Worldview theory and climate communication.
  4. Cultural and social values in climate communication.
  5. Best practice for worldviews-informed climate communication.
The report is available for free download here.
The resources identified in the report have also been compiled in a publicly-accessible online database available here. The project team will periodically update the database and it is also possible for members of the public to suggest relevant items for inclusion. Find out more here.
Other work currently underway includes the following:

  • Analysis of data from a public survey of over 1000 people in Ireland to identify dominant worldviews and public perspectives on related climate communication issues.
  • Survey and online discussions with key stakeholders regarding climate communication needs, challenges and best practice in four sectors: Renewable Energy, Transport, Local Authorities and Agriculture & Land Use.
